Hello! My name is Athena (yes, I am named after the Greek Goddess-because I’m perfect). I am around 2 years old, and I weigh about 50 pounds. Yes, I am a Rottweiler, but I still have my tail. I like to play in the play yard at the rescue, but if you let me, I’d rater lay in your lap (what do you mean I’m not a lap dog?) My human friends at the rescue tell me I am very sweet, and I walk very well on a leash. I am also very gentle, especially for being so young. Since I am young though, I still have some things to learn, but I listen well and I am very treat motivated.
I haven’t had a lot of experience in new environments so please have patience with me while I adapt, but I am very eager to please those I love. Cuddling on blankets and chewing on bones are some of my favorite past times, but I do enjoy a good walk where I can look around at all the things in the neighborhood. I will require a home with an active family willing to help me exercise off some of my energy. I loves to go for walks, to eat cookies and all people. I don't have good manners when meeting other dogs as they say I get to excited. The staff would say its workable with the right owner. Also a home with out cats and no small dogs for me is ideal. i was never socialized with them and now I think they are the enemy.
