Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kelly, Senior Male, 66 pounds, Altoona PA (courtesy listing)
KELLY IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE ALTOONA,PA AREA. PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE WWW.MOMSRESCUEVA.ORG.
Hi! I’m Kelly and MomsVA is hoping to help me find a new home. I’m currently in PA but ready, willing and able to jump in the car and relocate to VA! My person had to move into a retirement home and I could not go. I love my foster mom (and this definitely beats a shelter situation!) but I also miss my first person and having a home to call my very own. I would love to find a person or family that is forever.
If you are looking for a walking companion, please keep reading! I’m a healthy, ”young” 10 and just love my daily walks of a mile or mile and a half. Other than my walks, I am content to lounge around and be your companion. I don’t need all the fuss of a puppy or have all the crazy energy of a dog half my age. In short, I’m a pretty simple furry addition to a home.
I’m living with other dogs in my foster home and that is just fine but I have no desire to make friends with a cat. I get along well with the other dogs here but prefer to be alone when I dine and get my treats. I’m still getting used to being around other dogs and enjoy the mellow play time and hanging out. My foster mom is working with me on things like sharing toys and such.
I’ve got some Springer Spaniel in me and that means I love a good scent and I’m not shy about following one! My nose sometimes gets me so excited about treats that I try to take them too fast so my foster mom is working on that with me. I also love my food and use a special bowl that slows me down when I eat. They say I could probably use to lose a couple pounds – but I say there is just more of me to love! Please go to MomsVA.org to fill out an application if you are looking for a furry friend for walks, who is sweet and smart, and longing for a forever home.
