Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sophie is a fun, sweet, loving, playful and lovable, 18-month-old, 51-pound, female Boxer/Hound-mix looking for a loving guardian.
Originally rescued from a high-kill shelter in Oklahoma, Sophie loves people of all ages – including children (best over six years of age) and gets along with other dogs following an introduction. I don’t think she’s ever met a cat, but she’ll climb a tree for a squirrel! She is housebroken, crate-trained and great on leash if she’s wearing her gentle leader head harness.
Sophie is very healthy, spayed, de-wormed, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on vaccines including rabies, distemper, bordatella and leptospirosis.
Sophie can self entertain for hours if given her favorite balls and toys. She loves to go on car rides, play fetch, go for runs and walks. She is looking for an active family who like an active fun dog who also settles down nicely in the home to snuggle. She knows the commands sit and down and would love to continue her training with her new family. She loves rolling over for belly rubs.
To meet and possibly adopt Sophie, please contact sheri@petraits.com or 773-777-2891.
Her adoption fee of $275 includes her food, toys, leash, collar – everything you need to get you started with your new pet! She is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
