Bubbles – Playful Little Lap Dog
This playful little lapdog is Bubbles. We believe that she is a 1 year old Maltese or a Maltese mix.
Named for her bouncy, effervescent personality, Bubbles is an entertaining companion. Bubbles makes me laugh--whether she is pouncing on her shadow under the lamplight trying to get it to play with her, shaking a toy and then throwing it in the air, or hopping across the room like a lamb (she has a bouncy hop—kind of like the lambs in the old cartoons). Bubbles is also a very affectionate lapdog. She loves snuggling, and is very content cuddling on your lap.
Bubbles is still extremely thin. We have actually put quite a bit of weight on her. She is a good little eater, but it will take some time to get her to her appropriate weight.
Right now her coat is pretty short, but you can feel it has the soft silky texture of a Maltese. Bubbles was extremely matted when we rescued her. She was so matted that I couldn’t tell where her ears ended and the mats began. The base of her tail was matted to twice its size and had to be totally shaved. When she came back from the grooming salon, I was pleased to see she was not totally shaved down. Ooh La La Pet Spa did a fantastic job saving a little bit of length to her coat-they were even able to keep a little bit of a tuff at the tip of her tail so people could see that she is really a long haired dog.

Anyone interested in our dogs must be over 21. We are only able to adopt to homes within a reasonable driving distance of the dog's foster home and please be prepared for a home visit by one of our volunteers. We do not adopt on first-come-first-served basis, we want to make sure the dog is right for the family and vice versa based on what we know about the dog's personality, habits and behaviors.
