Timber (Spayed)'s Story...
"Timber' is a delightful 7-month old female kitty who arrived at the HSOV on February 1, 2016 after she was found in the New Matamoras, Ohio area and brought to the safety of our shelter. This little sweetheart has a brown tabby short smooth coat, a long ringed tail, and an adorable face with large golden eyes. "Timber" has an affectionate, outgoing personality and dearly loves attention. She just wants to be close to someone who will love her. "Timber" turned on the charm while she had her glamour photos taken and head-butted against the photographer's arms/hands, rolled over for belly rubs, and did the cute kneading thing with her front paws. This little beauty weighs just 5.6 lbs. She was given vaccinations and wormer on February 1, 2016. . "Timber" was spayed on March 1, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine on that date. She was combo tested on April 6, 2016 and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Timber (Spayed), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
