Arrival story: Shelby was rescued from a rural shelter where she had been for over 2 months!
Approximate age / weight: She is about 10-12 months old and 40 lbs.
Personality: Shelby is very new to us, but so far a very sweet girl. She hasn't had any accidents in her foster home, already knows the sit command, and learned her name in one day. She is very smart and listens very well when you tell her no or call her. He loves people and is very friendly. She is good with cats and other dogs. She is great on a walk as well. We'll post more as we learn about her.
Forever home: Shelby is still new to us, but so far I think she would do great with a family. Kids would be ok, her tail goes like a propeller when she sees them. She does jump up and so having a basic training class would be good. She definitely likes being with the people in her foster home more than the other dogs, so she'd be a great companion dog. She isn't too hyper, just the right amount of energy...so daily walks would be sufficient for her.

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $175 for adult dogs, $100 for senior dogs (9 years +), $275 for small breed dogs and $200 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age.
Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check

Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
