Darby : 6 to 7 yr old female, white-mitted brown tabby and white Maine Coon mix
A new baby’s allergy caused Darby and her “sister” Sandy to be left at the shelter. What a wonderful pair they are. Both had a rather careless quick shave down their back at the shelter.Where you see grey brown on this pretty girl, you need to imagine brown and black tabby stripes. Darby has thick, long soft fur. Actually, everything about her is soft--soft green eyes, soft pink nose, soft silky hair, soft sweet personality.
This little girl is adorable. She is a darling. You can see in her eyes that she is sad and uncertain what has happened to her world. Like so many cats that come into foster care, she needs a loving, quiet, stable home. She likes to be petted and fussed over but basically she has not gotten over the shock of being left in a shelter. Her sister has relaxed and is doing better in foster care, but Darby may not fully outgrow her trauma until she is in her new home.
She is a little thing, but she is a solid ten-pound girl. Perhaps her shaved area makes her look smaller that she is. It will be fun to see her happy and playing in her new home. First choice would be to adopt her out with her sister Sandy.
