Sandy : 6 to 7 yr old female odd eyed Black and White Maine Coon mix
A new baby’s allergy caused Sandy and her sister Darby to be left at the shelter. When they arrived into foster care, they were very stressed from their shelter experience. Of the two, it was Sandy who recovered quickly. She is a confident and outgoing girl who loves attention.
My first thought was to keep these two sisters together. They were caged together at the shelter and obviously had always been together in their last home. The new home I chose for them wanted both girls. Quite to our surprise, that didn’t work out. Sandy was jealous of smaller Darby and made life miserable for her. Regretfully, the family decided they had to separate them. I agreed, and Sandy came back to seek a home of her own. We would like to set this girl up as the only cat in her home. She will keep her new family well entertained and loved.
Sandy is a great big armful of soft white fur. Her tail is a magnificent black plume that often curls forward over her back. Cats with two different colored eyes are called “odd eyed”cats. Sandy has one blue and one yellow eye. With her black and snowy white fur, she is a very striking and beautiful kitty. She could be her own youtube star her looks are so exceptional and she has the spirited, entertaining personality to go along with that. She has some of the starlet glamor about her.
I was told that these sisters did not like dogs, but I expect Sandy, like most cats, could easily tell a dog his or her place in the world. Beyond that, I really don’t know how she would be with them. I expect she would probably do well with somewhat older, gentle children. She loves to be the center of attention.
How lucky some family will be to have this unique and loving girl’s companionship.
