Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Spade was an owner surrender for reasons unknown (although in the area he came from, many times the reasons for surrender aren't justified and animals are given up simply because they know animal control will take them). He is an extremely friendly Terrier mix. He is estimated to be about 3-5 years old and about 38 lbs. Spade is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. Poor Spade was not taken care of by his owners and he came to us Heartworm positive. But don't fear!! He has completed his treatment and is now ready to go to his forever home! Spade's foster mom says he is a sweet guy who just wants to snuggle. Now that he feels better, he will play with his ball in the yard or a toy and then wants to sit next to his human. He is low maintenance as he is house trained, crate trained, and doesn't require a lot of exercise although he does like to go on walks. He also rides well in the car.
Spade prefers dogs that are his size or smaller. He will also tolerate dogs that are larger if they are very calm. Being a shorter guy, he doesn't want to be stepped on.

It's the dog days of summer and Saving Grace wants to celebrate! Now through September 30 we are waiving the application fee for ALL dogs.
