Buddy is an 8 yr. old, 24 lb. beagle mix that is sitting in a Brooklyn shelter at the Animal Care Center of NYC (ACC). He is listed as ‘Super Urgent’, which means that his time is now up at the shelter and his days are numbered. Each day could be his last day unless he is rescued or adopted. This is what we learned about Buddy:
“BUDDY NEEDS A BUDDY! Sadly, this is not Buddy's first time at the Brooklyn shelter. Buddy was originally entered into the system as a stray and was not responsive to voices or petting. Someone saw something in Buddy and adopted him. Not even 3 months have gone by and Buddy is sadly back at the shelter. No time to decompress or given a shot. Buddy is now on the defensive; he has no idea who he can trust. Can you blame him? Everyone that he has known has let him down. Buddy has no Buddy and he is scared and confused. Hope should not be given up on Buddy; he just needs a chance with someone who will have patience & understanding, and give Buddy security and boundaries.
