Facts about MAVERICK & MOE

  • Breed: Domestic Mediumhair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Medium
Maverick (brown) and Moe (grey) are brothers. They are stunningly beautiful young cats who came to Home Fur Good as kittens after being found in someone's backyard. They started out as feral kittens, but our volunteers and staff have been working hard at helping Maverick and Moe learn to trust humans and enjoy our company. We are making some very good progress and we will consider adopting them out to someone who is patient and loving, someone who will help them see that being a house-cat and living with humans is the best thing ever. Watch Maverick enjoying his daily dose of petting/back scratching delivered by one of our dedicated volunteers: https://youtu.be/bVMI-ME9RiM The cats are bonded and always have a blast playing together. That is why they have to be adopted together. They are fantastic with other cats, so if you have a nice cat who needs some feline company and two playmates, then Maverick and Moe would be the purr-fect choice. We are positive that with time, patience and love they will come around and become wonderful little companions for humans as well.

Their date of birth is 11/28/2015. Their $85 (each) adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip and a free wellness visit with our vet within two weeks of the adoption date. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday, 11:00 am-4:00 pm and Mondays by appointment, and we are located at 10220 N. 32nd Street (just south of Shea Blvd.) in Phoenix. We offer a low-cost vaccine clinic on Sundays from 11:00 am-2:30 pm (walk-in; no appts.), a low-cost dental clinic on Wednesdays by appointment, and one free cat-behavior counseling. About Home Fur Good

About Our Shelter...

Home Fur Good is a non profit no kill animal shelter located in the NE Valley. We take a majority of our cats and dogs from County, many who have treatable medical conditions and would otherwise be put down. We assess physical and behavior and work with the cats/dogs to find the best suitable match. It is our goal that each cat or dog that comes to our shelter ultimately be placed in their "furever" homes.

We also operate a low cost vaccine and microchip clinic each Sunday. We want to help community be able to care for and keep their animals safe. We do not charge vet fee only fee for vaccine and microchip.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Go to www.homefurgood.org to see where you can meet our available pets.

We do adoptions from shelter every Thursday 11:30am to 3:30 pm and we are at Petsmart Tatum and Shea every weekend; Fri. 1:00 - 6:00, Sat. & Sun. 10:30 - 4:30. Please check our website for more specifics.

Our Adoption Process...

Home Fur Good requires an approved application. We have trained adoption counselors to review and question any potential problems/issues with application. We do require an adoption fee which ranges for dogs $150-$275 and for cats $50-$100. All cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and come with 30 days of pet health insurance.
If another dog or dogs are present in the household we require a meet and greet prior to adoption. All members of the household must be on board with adoption. We do not adopt our rescues out without meeting person that will be responsible - no "gift" adoptions. We contract that if cat/dog must be relinquished they are returned to us. If there is a change of ownership we must be kept informed who responsible party is. Fees are non refundable.
