Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Licorice and Liam are sweet, snuggly, friendly and lovable thirteen-year-old sibling cats with adorable squeaky little meows in need of a loving guardian.
Liam is a gorgeous and extremely outgoing, green-eyed silver tabby, and Licorice, his black sister with golden eyes, adore each other, are great with people of all ages, and they love other cats as well (however, not dogs!).
These cats have all their claws, but do not scratch furniture. They are healthy, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines, micro-chipped, and had complete blood-work, urinalysis and virus-tests done. Now, all they need is a safe, loving home for them to live – either as a temporary foster, or permanent adoption. They use their litter box and perfectly well-behaved in the home.
Sadly, the woman who loved them dearly has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and her wish is to see them be adopted into loving families as a pair.
Anyone who has ever dined at the Melrose Diner in Chicago over the last 14 years might have met this wonderful feline-lover. She would share stories of her cats’ antics with any regular diners who would listen. And at the end of each shift upon returning home, she empties the tips out of her pockets and the cats loved to roll in them! She served her last meal at the diner last month and is moving to Arizona next week so her daughter can care for her. She’s sadly unable to bring her cat companions with her.
