Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rider was supposed to be a Pit Bull puppy but now we think Heeler/Jack Russell/(Lab maybe)... as he never got big. He wants to play constantly. He jumps right in the middle of the big dogs playing and loves to snuggle and sleep with you. If you can give Rider his forever home please contact WSAL for more information!!
Rider came to us after being placed on the urgent list from FWAC. He had what they thought was ant bites on his nose. When we picked him up we noticed he had ping pong sized knots under his chin and on his back. We scheduled a follow-up apt for him with our vet and they thought he may have some infection from the ant bites and put him on antibiotics. Few days later his face started swelling and he had dramatic hair loss… back to the vet. A skin scape showed no mange and they were perplexed but called a dermatologist and it was suggested he had “puppy strangles”, juvenile cellulitis, a very rare immune system disease in pups (not reoccurring). Our vet had never seen a case in person but immediately began him on steroids in addition to extending his antibiotics. Within days he was doing better. This is not anything reoccurring and he has a clean bill of health. Now he just needs a forever home!!
