Hi, I‘m Foxy! I‘m a very loving and affectionate girl, and super cute too!
I had a big day at the veterinarian and was spayed, received all of my vaccinations, and was heartworm and lyme tested. Thankfully I am heartworm and lyme negative! I did have tapeworms and whipworms and have an ear infection, so I was dewormed and Foster Mommy is putting drops in my ears. It takes me some time to trust new people, so I got scared when the veterinary staff tried to restrain me. I would do best at a vet where they allow my family to hold me until I get comfortable with the vet. I have been very good about letting Foster Mommy put drops in my ears.
Foster Mommy is working on teaching me how to walk on a leash. We are going to try a no-pull harness next because, well, I pull! In my past life, I was tied to a dog house; so this is all new to me. I have learned to "sit".
I like bones and chew/treat toys but haven‘t figured out how to play with toys yet. My foster family has a special room setup for me to keep me separated from the other dogs for now. It is nice and comfortable. I will sleep in my crate, but I don‘t like being locked in. I am housebroken.
Once I heal from surgery, Foster Mommy will start walking me with my Foster Sister to see if I can get more comfortable with other dogs. It may be best if I find a home where I am the only dog, but please check back for updates.
