My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hayden has one of the worst stories to tell. She has seen unbelievable cruelty in her young life, yet has moved past it with grace and kindness. Hayden was picked up by the dog warden after being doused in lighter fluid and set on fire. Her face and belly took the brunt of the damage (see the picture of her about halfway through the healing process), and we were able to get her the care she needed to fully recover. Her abusers have not been caught to date. Her story touched so many lives, she made the local news stations and national online websites all over the country. The support she has received has restored our faith in people. The good far outweigh the bad, and Hayden is now ready to find her forever home.

She is a younger girl, probably around two years old and does fine with kids, cats and dogs. She is very forgiving, as this breed tends to be, and is simply looking to be a faithful family pet. She wants to chase balls, go on walks and snuggle with her people at night. She does have residual scar tissue that can get tight as she continues to heal, but otherwise is a healthy girl.

Hayden's adoption fee is $200. <p> All MVPC dogs are heart worm tested, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate trained and on a great potty training schedule.

ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. DO NOT USE THE PETFINDER CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those--only submitted applications will receive a response. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25 and do not accept electric fences as a source of containment. Because we are volunteer based and a home visit is required, we have a two hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case by case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!
