My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HENDRIX
9 year old, Male, Purebred Seal Lynx Point Ragdoll

COURTESY POST: Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

What an adorable little face! That was my first thought when I saw Hendrix’s pictures. Hendrix, named after Jimi Hendrix because his current owner is a musician, is a super sweet, quiet, and at times a bit shy boy. If you are looking for a mellow, low key, low maintenance boy, then Hendrix is the perfect kitty for you.

He is a small little guy, weighing about 12-13 lbs. He has never bit or scratched anyone. He has been picked up since he was a kitten, so he is accepting of having his nails clipped and of being groomed. His coat is silky smooth and not prone to mats. His current owner has noticed that Hendrix has become more affectionate in the past few years.

Since he is currently in a multi-cat household, he will wait until the coast is clear when the other cats in the house are eating. Because of this behavior, we would like to see him go to a home where he is either the one and only so he can get some undivided attention or with another gentle, non-alpha kitty companion.

He will get on the bed, but with lots of competition from the other cats, he will go elsewhere. He is not a fighter; he doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his fluffy little body. If you say to him, “Who wants a belly rub?”, he flops over instantly. It is so cute and we have a video to prove it. I’ll be sure to forward it to his new family. He is not a kitty that wants to be held, so you’ll just have to accept that about him. Apparently, he is also very vocal, so you can ask his current owner about the conversations that you can expect from Hendrix.

Just to reiterate, he is a really sweet boy. His current owners are moving to a smaller place and cannot take all of their cats with them. They feel that Hendrix would do so much better in a home with fewer cats.

Hendrix eats Royal Canin dry and loves a wet food treat of Weruva chicken or turkey. He is a healthy boy and uses his litter box without any issues. In my book, he should be nominated for an “Adult Kitty Cuteness Award”. If you agree, please get in touch with me.

If you would like more information about this cute little cat, please contact Frauke at 925-784-8244 or loveallcats7@gmail.com or send an Adoption Application.
Please note that Hendrix is not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing with his current owner in Petaluma, CA, while being placed in his new home. Adoption fee applies.
