Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We have a medium ebony male chinchilla that is looking for his new home. He came to NWI just a bit ago and we estimate that he was born around 11/25/15. This makes him right about four months old, and he’s a great age to bring him home to your family!
He is a medium ebony male, which means he is a dark black / grayish all over his body, including his belly. He is more of a blackish on his back and gets lighter to a dark grey as it goes down to his belly.
He is a super sweet boy. He’s nice and easy to catch, and he sits nicely in your arms while you’re holding him and petting him. He’s very sweet and doesn’t bite. He does well with being handled and petted and he’s pretty calm for a young chinchilla.
This chinchilla is currently living alone, and we do not know if he gets along with other chinchillas. If you are curious as to whether he might get along with your, or one of our, chinchillas, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.
This chinchilla would make a good “first chinchilla” for someone who’s never had chinchillas before.
This chinchilla will come with some food to start you out (2 pounds of Tradition pellets), a goodie bags of chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. He will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also sell a variety of chinchilla supplies, from cages to hidey houses to hammocks and everything in between.
Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet, fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire, and provide proof of cage. If you are unwilling to do these things, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.
