Hi! My name is Benny Boo although I don’t always answer to that so I am hoping my new forever family will give me a name that sticks! I am almost 2 years old and 65 lbs. I came into SCLRR from a local shelter. I used to live outside with my original family so I really enjoy being inside now and having the company of my people.
I am very calm for my age and don’t bark a lot. I can be playful and rambunctious too but I try to please my humans as much as possible. In fact, you may find me coming over to say hi to you on the couch and giving you puppy kisses…hopefully you are into that. I love going to the beach – I really think being at the beach is a lot of fun. I am not sure yet about swimming but I tried and I could probably learn to swim well in time. I also enjoy hiking and I have a very strong hunting instinct so when I see a bird or a rabbit I usually like to chase them so you better keep me on a leash. Because of that I probably won’t do so well with cats. I like other dogs and I am not an alpha male type. I will usually act more submissive around a more dominant dog.
I am very happy and healthy now. When I came into SCLRR I used to have skin allergies but I have been treated for that. I am on a healthy dog food right now and I am taking apple cider vinegar tablets and Benadryl to help me get better. I look much better now and I also feel wonderful. LIFE IS GOOD
