My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carlene is a sweet gentle spirit, and loves kids, even noisy bossy 2-yr-olds and fussy babies. So sweet and very smart. She is ready to take on the world with her charm! She absolutely loves people & would spend all day with them and other dogs if she could. Carlene is learning to sit and listens well. She sometimes thinks the grass is greener so needs to be watched when outdoors and something captures her curiosity ("was that a squirrel?!"). She has started some leash work and does well while on walks. She doesn't pull ahead but just takes her time to enjoy the sights, sounds & smells. Carlene is fostering with 3 other dogs (two tinies & one bigger) and does well with them, although she doesn't appreciate when they stick their nose into her dinner bowl when it's supper time. She's great with people of all ages and thrives on attention. Someone who is retired or home a lot would be perfect for her. She promises to give you lots of laughs and keep you on your toes! (refer to the pic of her stuck in a coffee can!)

We are unsure of Carlene's exact breed, but she resembles that of a Beagle/Dachshund mix both in personality & looks. She is 12 months old & weighs 17 lbs. Carlene is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative & dewormed. She is heartworm negative. Adoption fee is $300.
