GLADYS IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE RICHMOND VA AREA. GO TO WWW.MOMSRESCUEVA.ORG TO COMPLETE AN APPLICATION.

Hi, I’m Gladys and I am so happy that MomsVA took me in after I ended up in shelter in Powhatan. I’m a petite and sweet girl who gets along with most everyone. I’m pretty laid back and comfortable around kids and meeting new people. I also like meeting and being with other dog friends.

I don’t’ know my exact birthday but they say I am around 5 or 6 years young. That means I am old enough to enjoy just hanging out (if that is what the day brings), but young enough to love a good leash walk or some other kind of low-key adventure. And if you rub my belly you might make me PURR like a cat!

Sometimes my eyes are dry, so I need someone who would be alright with giving me the eye drops I need. Other than that, I just need a person or family who would like to give me lots of love and have me give it back to them.

If that sounds like you, go to www.momsrescueva.org to see if we might be a perfect match.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gladys, a Richmond Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
