My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This big, gorgeous boy was rescued from a high kill shelter in the south. He is such a wonderful dog. In his temporary foster home, he gets along with all 15 of the dogs and puppies, loves the little girls, and really he just loves everybody! According to his foster mom he is very affectionate and sooooo gentle. He would make a fantastic therapy dog. No jumping up, not pushy at all, just very loving. He is one special guy. He does manage to jump over the 4' fence so he would require supervision outside. He has cute little white freckles on his nose and is adorable but large! He will likely weigh over 80 lbs once we get some more needed weight on his bones. Max seems to be a young adult at around 3 or 4 years old, and his calm demeanor comes along with that. Max is currently being treated for heart worms (sadly very common in the south) and will be able to come home in early to mid May.
