Hi guys! My name is Tabitha! I’m a young, friendly and super playful girl. I have a lot of character and personality. I will have you smiling and laughing in no time. I'm very pretty with short-length brown tabby fur and soulful eyes. I came to the rescue with my very young kittens. I took great care of them and was a very loving, nurturing mama. Now that they are 8 weeks old and weaned from me, I can venture off to find a home of my own. I'm now spayed too, so I won't ever have to go through that again. I can be a bit fearful of strangers, but I warm up quickly and become fast friends. Playtime and toys are definitely the way to my heart! I like attention and being petted, but I absolutely LOVE when people offer me toys and kitty-safe string to chase. I am still a kitten at heart myself, after all, I’m just about a year old, so playtime is important to me. I also do well with other kitties and enjoy their companionship. I always use a litterbox like a good girl. If you and your kitty are looking for a fun and playful friend for life, I would be perfect for you! Just give me a chance! Adoption fee: $60. Saturday, July 1: Independence Day Adoption Special - all adult cats are just $17.76, July 1-4. Join us at the adoption event at
Petco, 29335 Orchard Lake Rd, Farmington Hills (just south of 13 Mile Rd). From 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., come meet adoptable cats and kittens on the 1st and 3rd Saturday each month (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event).
Adoption event dates for 2017: July 1, July 15, August 5, August 19, September 16, October 7, October 21, November 4, November 18, December 2 and December 16.
Saturday, July 22: Adoption Event at
PetPeople, 6520 Telegraph Rd, Bloomfield Hills. From 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., come meet adoptable cats and kittens on the 4th Saturday of each month (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event).
Adoption event dates for 2017: July 22, August 26, September 23, October 28 and November 25.
Sunday, August 13: Adoption event at Dodge Park in Sterling Heights from noon to 4 p.m., come meet adoptable pets at the
2017 Paws in the Park 10-year anniversary celebration for Paws for Life, including adoptable pets, dog walk, family picnic, vendors, dog games and kids' activities. Games, raffles, prizes, entertainment and fun for everyone!
Adoption Process: Complete the application at
www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
