Hi Everyone,
My name is Rockin' Robbie (but you can call me Robbie) and I am an affectionate and active little bichon, weighing about 11 pounds and one year old who is a very happy, sweet, cute, loving and lucky little guy. Let’s start with why I am so lucky.
Until the other day I was living in the shelter with lots of other dogs in my ‘cage’ doing everything I could think of to get out. I smiled a lot and licked hands a lot and, guess what? It worked and I became a FurKid!
Now I have a great foster Mom, doggy foster sisters who kind of look like me (and think I’m a really great guy) and I'm learning how to be a good canine citizen. (Mom says to tell you I'm a diamond in the rough and that I have great promise!)
I’m an active and sweet little guy who really wants to please. I'm, young enough to train and having a foster doggy sister who can 'show me the ropes' is a big help. I'm also very puppy-like. I love the outdoors and love to run in the yard. I like my chew bones but have no special or favorite toy... yet! (I do like to snuggle with my blankie however).
My BFK Aunties said to be sure to tell you that I’m an affectionate acrobat. I can walk on my hind legs (like a circus dog) and jump very high. Mom says I'd be a natural for agility. (I don't know exactly what that means but I think it means I keep my balance, can do lots of neat things and am very agile.) I can run like the wind (if you are a runner I could be your running mate) and I look forward to my walks. You simply couldn’t find a better companion.
I'm good with the big people called adults and the little ones called children. When I want to get someone’s attention, I just look them right in the eye and smile. They pick me up and I lay my head on their shoulder -- then we can snuggle for all we are worth (and that's a lot!)
Mom says I'm housebroken and learning commands (I already know ‘sit'’ and, since I want to please, there’s lots more that I can learn.) After running, playing and entertaining my family throughout the day, I eat a healthy dinner (the vet says I need to gain weight so I'm trying!) and go to sleep in the Big People's Bed.
So if you are looking for an active little lovebug of a guy, have another FurKid or two, like to be entertained and have time to help me grow into the best little guy I can be, I'd love to meet.
