Gordon's Story...
We would like you to meet Gordon!
Gordon is a 7 week old hound mix and is one of 9 pups! Being a very young pup, he is good with everyone, dogs, cats and kids. Gordon will need his new family to teach him all about house breaking and crate training as he is currently being fostered with all his siblings and it's quite tricky to train 9 pups all at once!
Gordon will be ready to go home on April 18th!
If you have room in your home and heart for Gordon, please visit www.because4paws.org and fill out an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gordon, a Oxford Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Oxford, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Oxford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oxford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oxford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oxford paves the way for another one to be saved.
