My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cayenne is being fostered in the Richmond, VA area. Please go to www.MOMSRESCUEVA.ORG and complete an application.

HI YA! My name is Cayenne and I am one of Chelsea’s puppies. Me and my sister Ginger are like twins, the only red girls in the bunch! I am the big Kisser between the two of us!

We are about 3 ½ months old and already 23 pounds!! My Mom and siblings came to MOMSVA from a pretty bad situation down in NC. We spent our whole little lives outside with little to no human contact and don’t know how long our mom had been out there tied to that tree before us. We were so happy to be saved by MOMSVA but we were all very very scared. Our first contact with humans was not very nice so our foster mom said it was understandable that we would think that all people weren’t nice. She has been showing us that people can be loving and good and me and my sister Cayenne have really opened up! Our foster mom is so proud!

We have been learning all kinds of things like how to play with toys, walk on a leash, and play with other dogs! We love it! We have met some Cats and don’t really pay much attention to them, they don’t play like puppies do. We have been doing great with our crate training and our foster mom says it is only a matter of time before we are completely housetrained!

I hope my new family will be patient and gentle with me as I learn all about the world and everything in it. Even though I have made leaps and bounds with overcoming my fearfulness of the unknown, I still can get spooked with sudden movements or noises so my new family will need to pay very close attention to me and keep me safe. I hope my new family will continue to take me places and show me things so I can be the very best puppy I can be.

If you think we're a match, go to www.MOMSRESCUEVA.ORG and complete an application.
