My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rettalyn is a chocolate Lab/Hound mix estimated to be just 18 months old and weighing 33lbs. She was picked up as a stray by a rural shelter and was rescued by our organization. Rettalyn is a young dog and bound to have a lot of energy. She will need to learn house manners and will take lots of attention and patience - as any young dog would. She has probably had little experience inside a home environment. However, she is in a foster home where they are working with her on her house skills. She gets along well with other dogs. She is a little shy at first but warms up to you quickly. If you are interested in meeting Rettalyn and considering her to become a member of your family, please complete an application at www.henricohumane.org to get started.
Rettalyn is a chocolate Lab/Hound mix estimated to be just 18 months old and weighing 33lbs. Rettalyn has been living in a foster home and has developed wonderful house manners. She loves her foster sister and follows her everywhere. (Rettalyn is the brown dog in the sleeping pic). A friendly doggie companion in her forever home would be great for her! She has been sleeping on a doggie bed beside her foster's bed. She goes right to bed and sleeps through the whole night. She loves playing with other dogs and has been to the dog park and she had so much fun! She continues to do well with dogs and people, including strangers. She still has not had an accident in her foster home so we think it's safe to say that she is house-trained. She sits for meals, treats, her leash, etc. - her house manners are coming along nicely.

We recommend and encourage you to complete an application at http://henricohumane.org/adopt/application-for-dogs/ before coming to our next adoption event. To find out if I will be attending our next adoption event, please email dogs@henricohumane.org.

Adoption events are every Saturday, excluding holidays, at the Petco located at 11331 W. Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA (next to Trader Joe’s) from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
