Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Phoebe. 2 yr old female Chi. Contact twylasfriends@yahoo.com
Phoebe is a very affectionate, sweet, 8 lb, 2 year old long-legged Chihuahua. She loves short walks but really loves to just hangout with her human. The perfect lap dog and companion. She will bark if someone is at the door and if other dogs are barking, but otherwise she is relatively quiet. Phoebe is very playful and currently she plays with her “foster sister-dogs”, other friendly small/medium dogs. She is an indoor dog, but “goes potty” as soon as you let her outside. She is completely house trained and does NOT use potty pads.
Phoebe’s forever home must be someone who is at home for most of the day (either working from home, retired or will only be gone 4 to 5 hours a day). She was previously neglected and believed to have been left in a crate most hours of the day. Phoebe now sleeps and eats in a “play pen” but otherwise she wants to be with her humans. She loves to eat (as she was very, very thin and weak when she was first found). Her foster family has teenage girls who are gentle with her. Phoebe has not been cat tested. Phoebe is not aggressive at all, she is shy and tentative to trust those she does not know, but warms up very quickly to friendly, gentle, kind people. We are working on basic commands but she always comes – especially for a treat!
If you'd like to meet Phoebe, please email to twylasfriends@yahoo.com
*****If you would like more information about the dog featured above, be sure to send a note to the "Contact Person." This is the person fostering the dog and they will be happy to answer any questions you have. Please don't just show up at Adoption Day expecting every dog to be there. We are limited by the number of volunteers who can help at each Adoption Day.
Also, in sending your note to the Contact Person, be sure to include information about yourself, family, home, yard, fence, other pets, work situation, and pet accommodations. This information will help us make the best match between you and one of our dogs***
