A little information about Justin...
Hi! My name is Justin and me and my brother Jake found ourselves all alone in a GA shelter and 'cause there are so many black dogs down here and we fade into the back of the kennel, we often get overlooked . . . but not by foster mom who loves us black dogs! My brother Jake already found his forever home so now it's my turn. I'm a black lab mix with a touch of white on my chest . . . foster mom says I have the prettiest thick and shiny black coat. I have a typical lab puppy personality at only about 5mos old and while at my last weigh in I was 30lbs, foster mom feeds me good and I'm a growing boy so expect me to be a typical lab weight of 55-65lbs when I'm grown (catch a look at my feet :) I walk really well on my leash, LOVE to play with my foster brothers and sisters, pretty much ignore the cats, and I love to eat (hey! what do you expect of a growing boy?) I do good in a crate and keep everything clean but do like to play with appropriate dog toys and love exploring and have adventures. Since Jake has already found his home, now it's my turn to find mine . . . could it be with you?
Justin will be coming to our next event at:
Durham Farigrounds
24 Townhouse Road
Durham, CT
May 21st and 22nd, 2016
Event information....
We are open to the public from 10 am to 4 pm. All final decisions are made by the rescues not Homeward Bound volunteers. If you are interested in this dog or any of our dogs please go to www.homewardboundadoptionevents.jimdo.com (copy and paste in browser window) and see all of the dogs coming and also fill out an application.
If you are a first time dog owner we my require a home visit prior to adoption.
If you rent or live in a condo we will require proof that you are able to have a dog. This could be a copy of the lease or condo agreement.
We request you bring all the residents in the household to the event along with any dog in your home for a meet and greet with our trainers.
Per the request of the rescues we may limit adoptions to only Connecticut homes due to the distance and support we give them. This again is strictly the rescues decision and hope you will honor that.
We also require a follow up visit with all families within a couple of months after the adoption.
If you have additional questions about our dogs feel free to contact us. Please understand that we are all volunteers and will try to get back to you as soon as possible. If it is close to our event we are very busy with pre-screening our applicants so please understand if we can't answer all your questions in a timely manner. Our goal is to make sure these dogs go to the best home possible.
