Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jameson is an adorable 7 year old Spaniel mix who weighs just 12 lbs. Jameson was previously adopted out at the shelter but returned because he didn't walk well on a leash! he is house broken. His foster is working on leash walking and says he is doing very well. Jameson is shy at first, but he warms up quickly and becomes a snuggle buddy. He is very curious and is an escape artist. He needs a home with a high fence if there is a yard. He whimpers a little when his foster leaves the house but he calms down quickly and is ready with lots of love and kisses when she returns home. Here is what his foster says: Jameson is doing SO well. He's completely over his initial shyness of people, and he's so gentle and cuddly. He will reach up for kisses, and pets, and all he wants to do is curl up on the couch or on his bed and enjoy your company. He isn't fearful of strangers at all anymore, and he's very good with other dogs. He will whine/cry when we move on during a walk and he doesn't get to play with another dog we run into, but he's getting better on a leash. He still pulls, but the harness is helping guide him. He's learned Stay, Sit, Stop and Down. He's mastering Off,
His separation anxiety is getting better. He's learning Quiet, and will only cry a little bit when I leave and close both doors, but he stops fairly soon. He is fully house trained, no incidents, and he sleeps quietly in his crate all night. Right now, he also knows 'STOP' so he won't rush for the open gates anymore, but I would not recommend taking him outside without a leash to grab him should he make a break for freedom!
He's truly the perfect dog for someone who wants a snuggly indoor dog, good with short walks and self sufficient in the house for up to 4-5 hours at a time, no problem. Jameson is ready for a home that can give him love and security!
