Jiminy's Story...
This darling little guy is Jiminy, a 7 month old kitten that would love a great home of his own. It is unlikely that Jiminy has ever experienced what it's like to have a home of his own as he came to us when he found himself in a trap one day. This little kitten was quite scared and shaken up upon arrival and who could blame him? He was thin and hungry, and he had some tapeworms too that we took care of. Jiminy is doing great now and he's ready to meet his new family that will give him a good, safe home. Jiminy is still very shy and reserved when he meets new people. After he has had some time to get to know you Jiminy will warm right up to you, climb in your lap, and nuzzle you all day long. He loves attention and is very sweet and affectionate once he knows you well. Jiminy will need a patient home with a family that will give him time to settle in. He gets along just fine with other cats and it may be helpful to have another cat that Jiminy can learn from. If you can give him the great home that he's dreaming of, please come in and meet this sweet little kitten. File#26099 3/26/16

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jiminy, a Forked River Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
