Here's what the humans have to say about me:
King just doesn't understand what he's doing here, but he hopes to get noticed quickly so he can move on with his life in a happy home. King came to us from our Newark facility after his family turned him in. They were moving and couldn't take King along. This 5 year old border terrier spent his life in a home and now his world was turned upside down but luckily, he's a strong and resilient little guy that put on a happy face and stayed in good spirits. King is understandably a bit guarded when he meets people for the first time but if you just let him check you out for a minute and sweet-talk him a little, he will be standing on his hind legs begging you for attention in no time. King is super sweet and affectionate when he gets to know you. It may take a couple of times of meeting him to earn his trust but once you do, he's your best buddy for life. King is well behaved and sits nicely when asked. He is also gentle with taking treats but needs some manners with leash-walking. King whines to meet other dogs when he passes them by and seems to like them. He enjoys running, playing, and living the life of a happy pup. Now he just needs a great home to live it in!
