Hello World,
My name is Maisie and I’m a happy and adorable little Havanese mix of about one year old who weighs 13 pounds. My foster Mom says I’m a very cute little girl who loves everyone – two and four-legged alike. I’m a cuddler and a lover but also a very playful little munchkin. And I’m relatively fearless. Why you should see me run around the yard as fast as I can trying to engage the other pups. Sometimes they join in and sometimes they just watch me ‘in action.’ The biggest one in the pack is my favorite. He likes me a lot too and tries to crawl into my crate to play with me. You would never know that he is about eight times bigger than I am! (I told you I was fearless!)
My Aunties say that I’m a major snuggler – as well as incredibly sweet and eager to please! While I will happily approach everyone I know, I can be a little shy and barky with new people at first. Mom and I are working on that. I’m also working hard on my housebreaking, am crate trained, a great companion (think Velcro) and a master cuddle bug! I like to lie in your arms like a baby and sleep as close to you as I can. Mom says I’m amazingly sweet, cute and loving.
When I first became a FurKid I had been wandering the streets. As a result, I had a pretty bad skin infection and was unsure of myself. With love, doggy foster ‘siblings’ and a wonderful foster Mom to guide me, I have started to blossom! (Silly me. I’m not a flower – I’m a FurKid!) Mom says I gain more confidence every day and am finding my way in the world. It’s likely that I didn’t get to experience truly being a puppy – so I’m making up for it now. I love to play fetch (although I don’t return the ball yet) and drag my rope toy around and shred toys and socks (we’re working on that part, too.) It’s just kind of fun having things I can take a part. Mom says I could be an engineer if I had two lets instead of four. (Silly Mom!)
I’m always good company and only the bestest home will be the right one for me. I would be happiest in a home with people who are home most of the time so I can entertain, love and snuggle with them. I also really need another FurKid to play with! So if you want a loving companion and like to snuggle, please ask for me. I’ll be waiting to meet and adore you.
