My basic info
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We have a mosaic male chinchilla that is looking for his new home. He came to NWI a bit ago, and we estimate he was born 2/3/2016. This makes him right around 11 weeks old, and now is a great time for him to go to his new home and bond with his new family.
This male’s color is called mosaic. He is kind of a fun patterned mosaic, in that he’s mostly white, but then he has a dark face with a star on his forehead as well as a dark spot on the one side of his butt. Kind of a neat fur design for a chinchilla.
And his personality matches his fun coloration! He’s very easy to catch, super sweet boy. He sits very nicely when you hold him and he does great with being handled and petted. He actually seems to enjoy being petted. He’s a very nice boy and he doesn’t bite.
This chinchilla is currently living alone, and we do not know if he gets along with other chinchillas. If you are curious as to whether he might get along with your, or one of our, chinchillas, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.
This chinchilla would make a good “first chinchilla” for someone who’s never had chinchillas before.
This chinchilla will come with some food to start you out (2 pounds of Tradition pellets), a goodie bags of chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. He will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also sell a variety of chinchilla supplies, from cages to hidey houses to hammocks and everything in between.
Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet, fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire, and provide proof of cage. If you are unwilling to do these things, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.
