• Doesn’t claw anyone or anything
• Loves, loves, loves lap time
• Enjoys rides in the car while in his carrier
• Meows to you in the morning to assure you haven’t forgotten his breakfast
So what is his story? His caretakers don’t know his history. All they know is that it was a rainy night when they found this lovely, rather skinny, abandoned kitty outside their home. They took pity on him…who could resist such a sweet face? Since they didn’t know his background, but were instantly smitten with his sweet demeanor, they took him to their vet. Several hundred dollars later, he was declared a very healthy boy, approx. 10 years of age. No issues with his teeth, just very slim at that time. He has gained about 1/2 lb. since his vet appointment, making him now about 8 lbs. of a fluffy love bug.
They already have three cats, two females and one male, so they thought “what’s another little kitty mouth to feed?” However, their male kitty doesn’t share their sentiment so there is some male aggression in the house disturbing the peace they were hoping for. They contacted one of our foster moms to help confirm his breed. They certainly knew he was special, and it turns out that he is a Birman kitty. You just never know what treasures may show up right in your own backyard!
Sammy is just so precious. He wants to be on laps a lot. He is very sweet with people both adult and children. He has a healthy appetite, and prefers wet food. He does seem to be hard of hearing so to get his attention you either need to walk up to him, or clap your hands. He will definitely need to be kept indoors.
They think he may have been with someone who traveled, maybe in a motorhome? He has no problem whatsoever to walk right into his carrier as if he is saying, “So, where are we traveling to today?” Let’s find him a permanent home where he will be kept safe and where someone will treasure and cherish this sweet soul of a kitty.
