Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi everybody, my name is Lila and I am 6 months old. I am what you call a Doxle. What is a Doxle?? That’s a unique dog breed because I am a unique puppy, silly? That’s a Doxie/Beagle …. Hee hee! My brother, Logan and were brought to a high kill shelter for reasons that were unknown and thankfully we weren’t there very long. An IAR Rescue person got contacted and they saved us. They got us out of there and put us in a really nice foster home. My foster home has other doggies: one is really big & one is tinier than me and I get to play with in this really big yard that I love to play in. I also like to play with the 2 little Human girls. I’ve been around cats and I don’t mind them. I’m a real sweet, loving girl that is looking for a home. I don’t act like a Beagle, meaning I howl or bay but I do bark once in a while like a Doxie. I also have the softest fur & coloring like a Golden Retriever so maybe somewhere in my “family tree” I have that but who knows. See what I mean, I’m unique. My foster Mom is teaching me thing called “potty training” and I’m getting the hang of it. It really helps me follow the big dogs because they are teaching me. I’m not food aggressive or mean because I’m so sweet. I’m a real lovable girl that just loves to give kisses. Who wouldn’t want puppy kisses?!? But if you want puppy kisses from me you’ll have to fill out an adoption application. To do that you’ll have to go www.illinoisanimalrescue.org. Once you do that my Foster Mom will set up our Meet & Greet and then you’ll want to take me home. Oh boy, I’ll get my forever home. Yippee! Lila
