My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howdy y’all! My name’s Reba, and I’m the most outgoing of all my beagle brothers and sisters! I like to think that I’m in charge, and I can be a little bossy sometimes. Mostly I’m just fun to be around!

As with the rest of my family, my life didn’t start out so great. I was really sick for a long time and am just now learning what it’s like to be a healthy, normal beagle! I definitely like being a healthy beagle over a sickly one! It rocks!

I like to spend a lot of my day outside playing with my brother and sisters. I don’t meet a lot of new people, so they can be scary to me. Now that I’m healthy, my foster mom is trying to introduce new experiences, but it’s slow going. I like to be petted, though! It’s the fastest way to my heart.

Currently I’m looking for my forever home. I need a family who will provide me with lots of love, play, and even some discipline. Most importantly, though, I need a family who has patience, because that’s the key to raising a successful beagle. I’m just a puppy, y’know- I need guidance and consistence! Do you think you could provide me with that? I hope so! I look forward to meeting you!

Please read our Standards for Adoption, the Beagle Camp Diaries and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog who will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements; and for families with very small children, puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets and hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.
