My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name’s Johnny and I’ve had a rough start to life, but I’ve got it made now! Everybody in the whole family can’t stop talking about how cute I am. They can’t even walk past me without stopping to pet me and tell me that I am the most handsome beagle-man ever. I don’t want to sound conceited here… but I’m inclined to agree with them. I’m pretty good looking- it’s true. I have a beautiful black shiny coat, long ears covered in the softest fur, and eyes that will make your heart melt. Some might even call me a beagle heartthrob, but I think that’s a tad excessive.

Sometimes I can’t decide if I’m shy or outgoing. I try really hard to be tough and brave, but if things get really out of hand, I have to run to my mommy. Sometimes new people can make me a little nervous at first too. After a few minutes of petting, though, we can be friends forever.

Currently I’m looking for my forever home. I need a family who will provide me with lots of love, play, and even some discipline (because my foster mom says I need some!). Most importantly, though, I need a family who has patience, because that’s the key to raising a successful beagle. I’m just a puppy, y’know- I need guidance and consistency! Do you think you could provide me with that? I hope so! I look forward to meeting you!

Please read our Standards for Adoption, the Beagle Camp Diaries and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog who will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements; and for families with very small children, puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets and hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.
