Melon's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Melon's Story...
Melon is a BIG marvelous Brown Tiger Tabby with those great symmetrical stripes and a quizzical look on her round face. She has lots of long white whiskers and little bits of white around her eyes and mouth. Such a cutie! At 15 years old she is in perfect health and is up for adoption only because her owner's baby is allergic. Melon is soft and round and super sweet. She likes to snuggle up pillow side at night and will enjoy sleeping in your bed. (Or as we like to say, she will let you sleep in HER bed!) Melon will greet you at the door when you come home and give you lots of unconditional love. She is a treat to have around and has the most positive attitude. Melon is good with dogs, cats and children and is waiting for her new family. Melon is part of the Senior2Senior Program and the Foster2Adopt Program.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Melon, a Sherman Oaks Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Sherman Oaks, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Sherman Oaks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sherman Oaks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sherman Oaks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sherman Oaks paves the way for another one to be saved.
