Care for a swim? I’m Cher, a sweet southern girl, originally from North Carolina.I’m full grown at 30 pounds and they say I am around 2 years old.I love people right away but I like to take my time getting to know new dogs and new environments. I’ve been through a big transition so I’m just now starting to relax and learn to play with toys and other dogs. I love learning and have done a great job with crate-training.I aim to please – especially when that means I can stay close to my person/people. I’d love to find a family that has time and a lot of love to give to me – and understands that I can be just a little needy when it comes to spending time together.

If I sound like the right furry friend for you, go to www.momsrescueva.org to see if we are a match!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cher, a Richmond American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer for sale in Richmond, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
