Tug's Story...
Hi my name is Tug. I am 10 weeks old and I am a Shepherd mix. My siblings and our Mama were found in a kill shelter but someone rescued us and brought us to this nice foster home were we are kept warm & we get lots of food & love. During the day I get to play with my brothers & sisters and the other dogs that live here. There are also some kitty cats that I like. I like just about everything because I'm a really sweet girl. The big dogs are teaching us little ones this thing called "potty training" and one day I will get the hang of it. I look a lot like my brother Tug & Thalia with the black & white but I have speckled paws just so you can tell me apart for when you come see me. So when you going to come see me? To come see me, you'll have to fill out an application first and to do that you have to go to www.illinoisanimalrescue.org. See you soon, Tug.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tug, a Palatine Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Border Collie for sale in Palatine, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Palatine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Border Collie breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine paves the way for another one to be saved.
