Jennafur, is a 1 ½ year old pit/boxer mix. She is still young and puppy like but very loving. She is so happy that she got “happy tail” and had to have her tail amputated. She does get very excited when other dogs are around, but not aggressive, just happy to see them. Nothing a little training can’t help. She would probably be fine with a male dog. She is great on a leash responds REALLY well to corrections.

This young girl just needs some consistency and direction outside of the shelter environment and she will blossom.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jennafur, a Santa Monica Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer for sale in Santa Monica, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog from a breeder in Santa Monica.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Monica already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Monica breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Monica paves the way for another one to be saved.
