Tank's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Tank's Story...
We had an adopter lined up for Tank but it was found that Tank is NOT good with young kids so we need some where else for him to go!
Tank is a wonderful 3 year old pure bred boxer. He came to us after he was hit by a car and his owner could not pay his vet bill. Tank has been staying with a dog trainer, so his obedience training is great. He is good with other dogs, and older kids (13+) but is reactive to young kids. His trainer believes that this is something that can be worked with but will take some time to work through. All of our fosters have young kids and we cannot risk bringing harm to them! Tank is house broken as well as crate trained. He is your typical, loving, wiggly bouncing boxer. Tank has been through so much and is still so deserving of his forever!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tank, a Oxford Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Oxford, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Oxford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oxford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oxford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oxford paves the way for another one to be saved.
