Elliott's Info...

I am already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and not good with kids.

Elliott's Story...
Our fluffy boy Elliott is about 4 years old, and he weighs 16 pounds. Elliott was on the run for several weeks around Wayne County, before finally coming to the shelter for some rest and a few good meals! Elliott is still getting used to his new surroundings, and learning to trust people. Because of his skittish nature, we think he'll do best in a quiet, calm, adult home. Elliott must meet any resident dog(s) in a potential new home. Here at the shelter, he acts curious about his fellow residents, and seems to enjoy meeting them.

** Elliott qualifies for our Adult Companion program - details at hswaynepets.org/policies/incentiveprograms.shtm **

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elliott, a Lyons American Eskimo Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Eskimo Dog for sale in Lyons, or seeking a American Eskimo Dog dog from a breeder in Lyons.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lyons already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lyons breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Eskimo Dog breeders who help with American Eskimo Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lyons paves the way for another one to be saved.
