Facts about Poppy

  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Poppy is a 3 year old girl with a lot of hop in her step thus her name. She knows many of her basic commands (sit, stay, down) and loves her people. She also loves her big foster brother “Petey” who is a mature boxer /pit mix as well as her 15 pound JRT brother “Jake”. She really enjoys wadding in the pool and would make a fantastic companion on hikes. Her ideal home would be with someone who would like a dog that can be mellow when they are working or hanging out at the house but also likes to occasionally go for a 10 mile hike (she will be able to keep up). She’s been in foster with us for four months and prior to this was at the animal shelter for seven months. She is a wonderful gal who deserves a home of her own.

About Darbster Foundation

About Our Rescue Group...

We are an offshoot of Darbster Foundation. At Darbster Kitty our goal is to place kittens ( some cats and an occasional dog) with great, forever homes in New England. The kittens are primarily from South Florida where the euthanasia rates are very high. NH has a low euthanasia rate and a shortage of kittens. Our kittens will go to their new homes tested negative for FeLV/FIV and a clean bill of health. They will also be fixed and UTD on shots, including a microchip. We will not adopt out any animal that is not spayed or neutered. The adoption fee is $125.
