Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gusto is a sweet, stocky and handsome, low-riding, 44-pound, three-year-old, cat-loving, red and white glossy Pit Bull Terrier/Am Staff-mix looking for a loving home.
This guy has a bowling ball-sized head with a big wide grin.
Gusto loves his walks and is well-behaved when wearing his head harness. He can easily go 90 minutes - as long as it’s not too hot or too cold. He is not a running partner, and if you try to jog with him, he goes on strike after about four blocks.
Gusto spent his early years chained in a junkyard; now that he’s free, he’s happy to be a couch potato. He loves his people, and he’s the perfect lap-sized snuggle buddy. He’s quiet and doesn’t bark much so he’s fine in an apartment or condo, and he’s well-behaved in his crate.
While he’s great in doggie play groups with like-minded pooches, he really prefers to be the only dog in the home. Although he’s living in a foster home with cats and he does beautifully with them.
Gusto LOVES his toys – maybe a little too much as he can get possessive of them. For that reason he’s recommended for an adult-only home. He’s very treat and toy-motivated which helps with his training. He already knows the commands sit, down, paw and BOOP – a unique command which he’ll be happy to demonstrate when you meet him!
Gusto is very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm tested and on monthly preventative. His $200 adoption fee benefits the dogs of It’s a Pittie Rescue.
