Here's what the humans have to say about me:
George is a gorgeous, glossy, brindle and white, 66-pound, five-year-old, very calm, male Pit Bull Terrier looking for a loving guardian.
George is full of tail wags and smiles. He’s not a jumper and doesn’t get the zoomies. George loves people, but has not been socialized with other animals so he is best as the only pet in an all-adult home. He loves going on walks and is great on leash, but he is not a running partner, he gives up after about three minutes.
He is extremely smart and beautifully-trained. He knows the commands sit, down, paw, and when you say “time for bed George,” he goes right into his crate for the night. And, when you say “Boom Boom,” he rolls over and plays dead. Once he trusts you, he loves belly rubs and takes treats gently from your fingers. George is housebroken and crate-trained.
He is very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm tested and on monthly preventative. His $200 adoption fee benefits the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control.
If you are a patient dog-lover interested in meeting and possibly adopting George, please contact his adoption counselor Kat at kbudrean@hotmail.com
To ask additional questions about George, please contact his foster mom Mari at msanche5@alumni.nd.edu or 574-540-9025.
He is being fostered in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood.
