My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MARCUS
6 year old, Male, Lynx Point Ragdoll

Isn’t he just adorable? Marcus is one of those little kitty boys that is just as sweet as they come. Yes, he is a little shy, initially, but most Ragdolls tend to be that way in the beginning until they have sniff, sniff, sniffed everything and have deemed that their new home is safe. He’ll probably want to hang out under a bed for the first few days, but bring him some cooked chicken and he’ll come out to see what you are serving him. Our organization had the good fortune to rescue him from some very nice young folks that found that they just didn’t have enough time to devote to him. We were told that Marcus was used to a quiet home, since they were off to school. He appears to be timid with loud noises, but then most kitties are, unless they are deaf or just generally unfazed by noises.

He sure does seem to enjoy the company of humans, as long as they are gentle and calm with him. We are not sure how he would be with young children, and we certainly don’t think he would feel comfortable with hyper dogs. He is a petite little guy right now at around 11 lbs. His foster mom is making it her personal mission to "fatten him up" a bit. Let's get him adopted quickly so he doesn't end up becoming a roly-poly, haha.

In his foster home, he is fine with the two gentle resident kitties, so we expect he will be fine with a companion kitty as long as it is not an aggressive one. Since we didn’t have any vet records when we took him in, he was taken in for vaccinations and a check-up and was declared a healthy boy by the vet.

He eats both wet and dry food and uses his litterbox perfectly.

Marcus is fostered in San Jose, CA.
