Austin is a handsome, sweet, loving and playful 58-pound, nine-month-old, male brindle and white Pit Bull/Boxer-mix puppy looking for a loving guardian.

After being rescued from Chicago Animal Care and Control as a mangy puppy, Austin moved to a foster home with a female dog. He gets along just fine with her but he does play in a rowdy manner more appropriate for an equally rough-playing young dog.

If you sit on the floor, this boy loves to sit in your lap for snuggles, kisses and tail wags. He is a super mushy snuggler who loves people of all ages. And if you’re standing, he’ll lean against your legs lovingly while staring up at you with his warm brown eyes.

Austin is crate-trained and housebroken. He knows the commands sit and down and takes treats incredibly gently from your fingers. He is still very puppy-ish so he is looking for a patient dog-lover willing to continue his training and give him the daily exercise that all young dogs deserve. He’s best with teens and adults due to his youthful exuberance.

This nice dog is extremely healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, de-wormed, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative.
