Merlin is just drop-dead gorgeous!! A big, long-haired Siamese mix who was adopted as a very tiny baby kitten from a box, he never received the social skills he should have learned from his mom and siblings. As a result, he didn’t do well in his busy adoptive home with two young children—sometimes being too aggressive with the kids as he entered the teenage phase. After a couple of months with us, he has become the most charming boy—he LOVES to be petted and puts his big paws up in your lap the minute you sit down. He can’t wait for visitors to his room—following them around talking and hoping to go home. It was heart-breaking recently when another cat in his room was adopted and Merlin immediately went into the crate yearning to be the chosen one! If you are a cat savvy person wanting a REALLY affectionate boy who will be your best buddy, then Magical Merlin might be just the match for you….give us a call to meet this special kitty.

About Peninsula Friends of Animals

About Our Shelter...

Peninsula Friends of Animals is a cageless, no-kill, non profit animal welfare group serving the community since 2000. Our mission is to prevent the birth of unwanted cats and dogs through progressive spay/neuter and educational programs, and to place as many homeless, neglected or abused animals as possible in safe, loving, permanent homes.

Our Adoption Process...

Prospective adopters meet with our Shelter Manager to determine an appropriate match for our animals. The adopters sign an adoption contract that identifies the condition of the animal, approximate age, any health issues, and conditions of adoption (e.g. indoor only, no declawing, etc). Adoption fee is $85.00.

PFOA prefers to adopt to homes on the North Olympic Peninsula, but we do make (lots of) exceptions. Please call (360) 452-0414 to learn more about this kitty. A staff member will return your call.

All PFOA animals are vet-checked, current on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and combo tested for FIV / FeLV.
