Olive's Story...
Meet Olive, a petite and loving 7 month old kitten. Olive was also part of a large group of cats that was surrendered over a month ago. She was terrified here and didn't understand what was going on. Slowly, she began to trust us and is now a very sweet girl that loves being held. Living with so many other cats was rough, and sadly Olive was picked on. She had lots of scars and bites all over her face and body that have since healed. There is a large scar on her face that will probably always remain visible but Olive is ready to forget about her past. She LOVES other cats and feels much more comfortable being around them. She can still be a little nervous with new people but with a few pets and soothing words, she flops over for belly rubs and neck scratches. Her adoption fee is $120 and includes all her vaccines, registered microchip, fecal exam, deworming, FIV/Felv test, and spay.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Olive, a Joliet Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Joliet, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Joliet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Joliet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Joliet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Joliet paves the way for another one to be saved.
